What grows

What wild, unfamiliar seed lies dormant
Between the forest and the field?
What will become of it if nurtured?
What if left alone, ignored?

A karmic accountant tends his ledgers
Preparing for an audit
Will the debits and credits balance?
Or will there be a reckoning?

And then I wonder about that seed
I wonder what will grow

Yeah, seems like the weeds would choke out the grain... but I know nothing about farming. Thanks for the words!

Excellent first lines and thought. Christ said to let the weeds grow with the grain and separate at harvest. But being a farmer, I'm not sure I agree with His methods.
