Author of six poetry volumes in English; two of them were published in Canada. Winner of several national/international awards, his poems have been translated into Kannada, Hindi, Thai, Korean and French. Venkataramana is also a reviewer of poetry books, and has translated poems of leading Kannada poets- Dr Sarjoo Katkar and Dr Basavaraj Sabarad.
