Hailing from Fairfield County Connecticut originally, Lisa learned from an early age she'd probably make a lousy mathmetician, Stepford wife and fisherman as she is one of the few New Englanders out there that hates the taste of seafood. Accepting that while she was a rather hairless and lumpy baby, she was not the pet rock originally ordered as she was a tad too noisy, she ran with it, quitting JV cheerleading, taking up AP Art, failing a year of Algebra, and discovering grunge, heavy metal, gothic and punk music on top of developing a longtime love for the band, Rush. After a stint in Southern CT State University's Graphic Design program and traumatic moments involving a rasp and soapstone, she earned her B.A. in Art History and entered the SCSU's graduate program in Library Science and Information Technology. A winner of the National Novel Writing Month contest for both 2005 and 2006, she hopes to publish the three novels she completed as well as graduate this December, fairly certain that there is a conspiracy behind subject headings. She currently lives in Hamden with a lot of black sweaters, unfinished knitting projects and the soapstone sculpture from her 3-D design class.
