I was born po' white trash, to an alcoholic and a saint. I spent my childhood in hiding and emerged in time to enlist in the Army. Although it felt like home, I didn't like getting shot at during the Persian Gulf War, so I left at the end of my enlistment and tried hiding again, this time in a bottle. After several years pickling in alcohol, I decided I had better things to do, like raise some kids, maybe get married, maybe go back to school. So I did. As I my confidence rises with sobriety, I find that my DREAM of writing has come closer to being a reality. Actually, I should say my dream of becoming a published writer. I write, therefore I are a writer. . .lol. (joke). I have one published poem, and hope to have another one soon.
