i am a poet, among other things. my tongue rolls about in my mouth searching for things to say before it makes it’s final rest, tucked into my cheek. i won’t apologize for the fact that I’m not perfect, so please, don’t expect it. i’m a channel swimmer, sipping delicately on the Orinoco flow, and wondering how many terafurlongs per fortnight you stand –1.8 to be exact. but who’s exactly counting anymore?
i dress in overalls, though one of the straps hang off my shoulders, a shirt that may be a bit too small, but i’m too proud to give it up, and converse. mom claims i never dress like a girl, but it’s more than obvious i am one therefore, i don’t need to. get it?
i’d rather you not try to understand my state of mind, it’s unsound my dear. but if you insist, please direct yourself there without further prompting from me. we are living a world; we are living in a lie; we are living where we wish to live. i am exiled. by my own definition and doing.
