Before I even realized the ramifications of Madelilne L'Engle's writing she had inspired me.
I was 10 years old and focused on writing. I attracted unwanted resentment from my public school peers (especially when I was allowed to read my stories infront of the class). Honestly I'm suprised I wasn't beaten up more in primary school.
I put writing aside for 11 years except when writing stories for my school newspaper which wasn't exactly my forte. I had much better success with graphic art and design and later essays in college. Visuals come naturally to me - however - picking back up the Wrinkle in Time quartette two summers ago forced me to pick up the pen once more.
I've found inspiration in Steven King, and many writers of the television series Star Trek. However I feel that many of the stories that have gone the furthest in that series are the published ones in paperback. Greg Cox and John Vornholt, Vornholt is especially talented at weaving a fantastic story into existance.
I love Vornholt.
I really see myself as a neopyhte to writing. I have great ideas, but as far as style and form and voice go... well I really need help. I hope that editred will provide the guidence I need to take my talent to the next level.
