AlbaRaven is a rural biddy from the hills of the Borders of Scotland with a daft sense of humour. My experiences from working in different sections of agriculture, from the mucky end through to the teaching of post-grads, and then my life in the art world have been things to use and adapt for my writing.
The natural world, perhaps not surprisingly as I'm surrounded by it, has given me an enormous amount to draw on - literally and otherwise. My cockerel image; that's my Chinese sign!
The world has thrown a lot at me in all sorts of ways - a lot have been hard knocks have had to be overcome. That is what got me writing in the first place in 1998. Now I use the events that landed on my plate for my writing endeavours and anything else that I jot down in my notebooks.
