I was born in November of 1986 to Debbie and Anthony Hawley. My parents split when I was three, and my life, from there on, hasn't been typical. I've been through more than I thought I was capable of enduring in 21 years of life. College, junior year, has proven the most challenging. My aunt, who was always like a second mother to me, passed away this July after a four month battle with lung cancer- she never smoked a day in her life; irony is a mean little devil. So, my life has changed significantly, and, I'm not sure I will ever be the same. I'm hoping that all these things are preparing me to become the woman I want and need to be. I lean on God for strength through it all and remain dedicated to the construction of communication through words. I have been and will continue to be a writer. And that is the consistency by which I've navigated my life.
