Eddie Beverage's writing career started when he was very young, scribbling short stories on wide-ruled paper and directing Super 8 movies in his backyard in Cincinnati, Ohio. His influences range from Dr. Seuss to Agatha Christie to William S. Burroughs, from comic books to hip-hop to Chuck Norris films.
His debut novel, 200 Beats per Minute, a coming of age and coming out story set in the rave and dance music underground of Orlando, Florida, was published in 1998 and received positive press in a number of national print publications including Urb magazine, XLR8R and Spin. He has also written several screenplays while occasionally moonlighting in musical criticism for magazines like Brooklyn-based Beat Down and The Orlando Weekly.
His new novel "Tom Brown Saves the World" is now available online at http://www.tombrownsavestheworld.com.
