I spend a lot of time walking around and talking to myself, or doing the dishes and thinking about language. I talk pretty quickly, and I read pretty quickly too. I'm pale and blurry. I'm writing a novel- but who isn't? I'm interested in magic realism; in experimental lyric poetry, in postmodern fiction (warily). I get an odd little frisson of happiness just from being around shelves of books. "I grew up on the internet", I tell people when I'm feeling obnoxious. When I'm not busy writing, I'm busy being hilarious. My name is Ashley, but I've never really identified with it. But I don't have a good substitution at the moment, so I am relaxing into passivity. Call me whatever you want and see if my head turns.
