I write because a middle school English teacher encouraged me to, and because another teacher told it was a waste of time.
I write when my creativity decides to, not when I decide to be creative.
I write poetry and short fiction. I read and write mystery, drama, sci-fi/adventure, and horror. I feel that I can write decently, but have the potential for much more, given the time and dedication. When I write short fiction, I create a story that is not just for myself, but rather for a broad spectrum of readers. I hope that my stories are read for more than just the words, and that people can find the deeper meaning within each. I hope that my poems can be understood and felt by a diversity of people, by writers and non-writers alike.
