Cindy (Cassman) Bauer was born in Davenport, IA where she grew up the youngest of three children. During her childhood, she was an avid reader and had always dreamed of becoming a writer. Marriage, career changes and relocation filled her time and she left her dream behind.
After gaining employment with her small town newspaper in 2003, Cindy's dream to write resurfaced and with encouragement from her husband and sister, Cindy wrote Chasing Memories, the first book in a planned trilogy, with publication of Shades of Blue expected later this year. Debra LaVelle, her sister and a former journalism teacher, volunteered to be her editor.
Cindy graduated in 1975 and married her husband Robert in 1976. They moved to Missouri in 1986 when her mother became terminally ill. They decided to stay and make it their home and still reside there with their two pets, Shadow and Samantha.
