Courtney Marie Jayne was born on March 24, 1986 in Naperville, IL. She has lived in Aurora, IL her whole life. At the age of six, she began writing. At first, she would write mostly lyrics to songs. This eventually led to her writing poetry, short stories, scripts and novels. Courtney graduated from Waubonsie Valley High School in May of 2004 and began college at Western Illinois University in August of 2004. She is currently in her third year of college working on a degree in Journalism and Creative Writing. She also works for the school newspaper, the Western Courier, as campus editor.
