Alright man, say it like it's got to be said. Like you are trying to describe the shit to the drunk guy on the next stool over, or maybe you and your other just made it and are tangled up in the sheets still and you think this might be a good window...simple, from the heart and most definitely true.

I Am a fairly new writer looking to read other work and help others out with feedback and vice versa.

Okay 50 words, take 2- my favorite all-time writer is Henry Charles Bukowski jr. Straight up, hands down, no fucking question. I wrote my first thing as a tribute to Buk about 4 years ago and now it is Aug. 05' and I have assembled enough work for a small first time out book. I am stoked and want to meet other writers and give them unbiased feedback and fucking vice versa.

At this time I have been realizing that the dialogue from the films of Quentin Tarantino (early work) and Martin Scorsese have been a fucking huge influence and probably will be forever. I really enjoy the early, raw work of these directors and find their characters talk to each other in a way that does not accomodate bullshit. This could be my number one rule but I am not sure of anything yet.

I'd also like to mention and highly recommend a new movie my dad turned me onto that came out recently starring John Travolta and other great actors- 'A love song for Bobby Long.' This features Travolta as an older burned out writer at the end of his career and another young writer who is to write his biography and this takes place in New Orleans as the two of them live in this abandoned house and mostly drink and experience some true shit when the houses owner comes back to town. This movie really inspired me as a writer and really should be seen by
ALL writers.

I take great pride in the fact that all the shit I write about are true life experiences of mine and am not here to bullshit or preach. I enjoy raw hard dialogue and want to write for other heads like me that are skateboarders and musicians. And also, a big shout out to single guys who have no one but themselves to get through. This dialogue is for you. If the rest of the world wants to label me, I am not tripping because I know guys like me will understand this shit and it really is for them first and foremost. I am here for feedback and to give it to others. Do not come by or say 'What's up?' if you want to label me because It won't work, dude, and all this shit will go on anyway and won't help anybody's work anyhow.

I am esentially a music guy and writing really bit me in the ass unexpectantly and one of the things I really enjoy is using my sometimes ridiculous experiences in music and write about them and have fun with it and add dialogue if possible for accuracy and just concentrate on humor and real life experience. I concentrate on poem-stories and short stories and will step to a novel length project as soon as my experience lets me . I would also like to attempt some screenplay type scenes involving people into board sport culture and music. I think it's real fun to try things of all lengths and styles and find out more about what makes a piece work.

Definitely do holler at me on myspace.com/craigmack10 with any other comments or whatevahs.

I got 2 other stories on rosedog.com that are longer and not really appropriate for this site because of length. Holler at me if you want to check them.

Welcome and thanks for stopping by. Later -craig

*update- 1/23/06- I am currently wrapping up a few projects up here in Oregon and after shit wraps up and my first small book is available and a heavy metal album I am involved in is pressed and out there , I have been thinking about traveling a bit for further experience and maybe for some new shit to write about. I have never been further east than Arizona and lately have been thinking that with my drumming experience and willingness to write and meet people, that New Orleans might be a wonderful place to check out. If any heads on here reads some of my stuff and has info about this region please shout at me with some info about this most enchanting place. -BIG RESPECT-
