Not your average artist or poet. Michael Padilla is a tornado tearing through the literary and art world. His vision, fueled by cynicism and passion was greatly developed in his formative years. He was raised in the suburban community of Walnut, California from the middle eighties until the late nineties. It was here that he lived in a blended family of five siblings. His incomparable outlook is perhaps directly related to the eclectic composition of his household. Presently age thirty-two and residing in Pomona, California; he continues to create masterpieces that are unwavering in their message and delivered in a fierce, uncompromising, and thought provoking manner. His unique message is definitely unconventional. The experience of his work arouses the senses of sight, with painting; and sound, with spoken word, while simultaneously encouraging one to explore their conscience. He critiques many of the irrational prejudices that plague humankind and cause immeasurable suffering. Hopefully this art can be a catalyst for the eventual eradication of intolerance.
