I currently live in the Pacific Northwest in the beautiful, yet rainy, state of Oregon. My passion is writing and I have just had my first book published which has truly been a dream come true! The book involves my daughter who, at a very young age, had started to display very odd behaviors which included violent tantrums and rage attacks. After several years of struggling to find out why she was so miserable, she was finally correctly diagnosed with autism which was later changed to Asperger's syndrome. My book titled, "Aubrey's Journey" describes and details the heartache and triumphs I encountered while attempting to find my daughter help. I wrote the book to help at least one person, who is going through a similar situation, find hope. At the time that I was going through our situation, there weren't books and stories available that I could really relate to.
