Hi there,

I've been writing since I was a little kid. Come by it naturally I suppose, both grandfathers, an uncle or two and my mother all are writers. And are all published in one way or another. Even my daughter has decided to join the ranks and become the family's fourth generation writer.

I write mostly fiction, though I do dabble in non-ficion on occassion. In fact, the book that I have published, "Living Full and Gluten Free: A restaurant guide with a full menu," is outside my comfort zone. It's a restaurant guide for people on gluten free diets. Currently there is an outline in the works to expand the book.

However, normally I write erotica and something I saw an agent refer to as 'Magical Realism.' It was, if I remember correctly, 'real' life enhanced with magic. That works for my second completed novel. The first was not good enough for publishing, but this one is! Set in 3200 BC Egypt it is definitely about life then, for members of one of the original Thirteen Covens. Magic and mythical creatures are commonplace for this family, so I reckon 'magical realism' covers it. So does "women's fiction."

I have adult stories posted on the web as well - at literotic.com as hisemerald. I have been reading them again recently and am pleased to note that I have been growing as a writer since most of them were posted. I am a tad embarrassed about the number of errors in them. Thankfully, I've also improved as a self-editor.

I look forward to wandering around the site. I'm glad they emailed me to remind me of my membership, I have been thinking that my book starts in the wrong place. Maybe I can get some opinions on it here.

Jenn
