I am now living my boyhood dream of living on a ranch or farm. My wife's uncle passed away a few years ago and she doesn't recall meeting him. In his will, he left her his 120 acre ranch/farm which has a house, a barn, several out buildings, all of the animals, and the equipment need to run the farm. We recently moved into the farm house and it is great. We are literally out in the middle of nowhere as we are about 40 miles north west of Ely, Nevada. Our nearest neighbor is about 25 miles from us down a dusty dirt road. We do have electricity, running water, a phone, and a satelite TV.
I enjoy doing the reseach for my writing as much as I do the actual writing. When I write I strive for accuaracy even though it is fiction. I attempt to blend the factual information with the fictional as seamlessly as possible.
I have had a series of non-fiction articles on Wagon Trains and the Pioneers published in a magazine called, "The Nevada Rancher". This magazine has a circulation of 50,000 and is intended for the rancher through out the western United States.
