I am a dirt poet, a scribbler of prose. Once in a while, I can almost touch the authentic. But it is elusive. I am compelled to respond to events, experience, perceptions. With grace, now and then a new door opens and I stumble in, ready for what new awaits me there.
When possible, I walk the beach with the chickens at Hanalei Bay at sunset. I send haiku in a bottle across the sea and imagine the moment when someone discovers it and we meet across time.
That's what I am, where I wish to be: chicken sunset writer bottle me.
