My name is Finola, i'm 17, just started college and I'm very very tired, because no-one sleeps, but that's part of feeling this dizzy happy I guess. I love writing, hope to improve and maybe someday publish something, :) I'm most interested in writing for children, you can be as absurd as you feel. I also write some poetry (which is generally not so great) and consistently attempt to put my boarding school experience into words and fail. :P
It'll probably be mostly poetry on here because the prose i'm working on currently (a childrens novel about being stolen away by the fairies, :) ) is half-illustration and spread out over various scribbled journals.
Whenst not writing I play piano (was training to be a concert pianist there for a while but twas leaving no time to live life), flute, guitar, sing (VERY VERY BADLY), paint, horseride, talk nonsensically, dance in the rain, smoke way too much, paint my nails and then chip the polish. My idols are: Jimi Hendrix, Debussey, Chaminade, Jimmy Page, Patrick Kavanagh, Louis McNeise, Sylvia Plath, Zadie Smith, Dali, Van Gogh, Tim Burton and bleh.. Many more.
I'd also jump Dave Grohl in a second if I ever met him.
