Jennifer M. Wilson holds a degree in Communications and Comparative Religion from Ithaca College, where she studied at both the New York and London campuses. Intent on building a foundation from which to write better works of fiction, she moved to Seattle during the grunge years and then Vashon Island where she chopped firewood, published ??zines, sculpted clay and tested her own metal. After publishing several works in literary journals and making the decision to embark on a novel length work of fiction, she discovered Bridget Bishop while reading an article on the Salem witch trials.
??I was intrigued by the parallels between the modern artist??s desire to escape the corruption of consumer driven society and that of the Puritans. For both ultimately come into conflict with the native residents of their chosen bohemia and with each other, as they develop a fear of progress within the restrictions of their utopian ideal.?
Jennifer has worked for the BBC, Seal Press, and several independent record labels. She has also made a living as a landscaper, a legal assistant, a janitor, a waitress, and a traveling festival vendor. She spent time in Europe and Southeast Asia, and currently lives in Pennsylvania where she is raising twin toddlers.
