A while ago, I wanted to be a saint. That dream is partially off.
Further back, I wanted to be a video game designer. That's gone off the deep end, but may resurface to my unknowing.
Now, I want to be a writer, but I don't know where to start. I absolutely love science fiction, but I don't think I have the mind for it. I'm more of a creative short story writer, with a sci-fi twist in him.
I'm in my last year of high school, and will most likely be attending Allegheny College in Meadville, PA, in Fall 2008. I'll be doing a double major in creative writing and physics.
I like music, and am the lead singer of Los Rojos Diablos (yes, i know, intentional misspelling). I hopefully will know guitar soon.
I'm a bit nerdy.
I'm an Indian, but not that much of an idiot.
I don't mind any kind of criticism.
I'm not a great writer.
I don't do drugs or booze.
I really do not like anime, manga, fanfics, or any strange conglomeration of the three.
I need to learn how to accept more styles of writing.
I like it when people read my stuff.
I write on commission, occasionally.
I consider myself very religious.
My imagination is very, shall we say, eccentric and eloquent.
My writing is short, and although it looks like my short stories are few in number, its because if a story takes 1000 words to tell, then I've either got it down too well, or I don't. To me, if you can't tell a story in one page, it's generally not worth telling.
That said, I love novels. I think they represent a superhuman effort on the part of everyone involved.
...he saw himself atop a heap of pen and paper, of failed authors and would-be poet lauerates, clutching a manuscript of gilded light, reaping a collection of tales to accomplish any end...
