Originally from Newark, New Jersey, relocated to Miami, Florida at age 13. Was writing for a small local paper when Hurricane Andrew took the town of Homestead in August 1992. Moved to Texas after the storm and sold my first short story for money to a national confession mag. Continued to write for cash: ad copy, business literature, resumes, a PSA which appeared on a local TV station, materials for a continuing education program, other stuff. Poem appeared in a 1993 anthology. Have since sold short fiction, poetry, non-fiction, and assorted business literature. Started writing for the Web, and produced a website for writers called "Catnap Corner, Short Fiction, Etc." in which I published the work of other writers. Arrived in South Carolina in 1999, and have continued to write semi-professionally, although not for publication. I read, teach when I can, study a lot, and perform weddings. Have a trunk novel, of course, which has been in the works for 11 years...
