There's only sixteen years worth of it, but this the story of my life: I began reading English at the age of six with the help of my older sister, who is now majoring in editing. By the age of twelve, I had devoured most of the contemporary novels for young adults, and many of the older, more classical ones, as well. I started writing my own poetry and short stories about this time, and I haven't stopped. I was blessed with an amazing English/Literary Arts teacher in my sophomore year, who repeatedly encouraged me to write and write some more. When I spoke to my mom about colleges, we realized I would have to earn some scholarships and I attacked the online writing world. Anything extra looks good on your CV.
