A stay-at-home mom, wife, painter, writer of fiction, and mucky-muck.
I have a BA in a couple of things, one of which makes me a prime candidate for pyschotherapy.
If you notice I write a lot from men's perspective, it's because I grew up around lots of them. I also grew up mocking them. Old habits die hard.
And as a eurasian, though not a terribly unique thing to be, I still find some experience as one interesting enough to write about from time to time.
I'm working on a novel about anorexia, which is emotionally and intellectually taxing. I believe it's one of prevailing feminist issues in this culture,--women's body image. I want to contribute to the ongoing debate through fiction. It's ambitious and boy, do I know it. I often feel I'm not up to the task.
I'm a literature whore, among other aberrant things, and will read just about anything. I'm also a feminist anthologies junkie(candy reading, as I like to call them), with Barnes and Noble as my major supplier.
Favorite season is fall. I love the colors, Halloween, and FOOTBALL.
Since joining Edit Red, I've been working a lot harder. I've never been a part of any writer's community. I now realize I have a lot to do to improve.
And John (Miller), you're awesome, man. Thanks for prying my head out of my ass.
