Hinsley Ford was raised within the transparent walls of an oxygen tent, and spent weeks at a time in various hospitals due to a severe immune disorder. She had no tutor and was completely responsible for her education. At the age of 12, she knew she had to begin living life without dripping condensation and a steady influx of clean air. After a few half years spent at a private highschool, she went on to earn her education from Johns Hopkins, Mount Holyoke, Columbia and Harvard.
Hinsley writes and publishes within a variety of genres. She runs a successful, busy blog called The Oxygen Chronicles at www.TheO2Chronicles.blogspot.com, and is working on her first book. Ongoing health crisises threaten her success and limit her writing time. She is classifed as "disabled" but knows she can still enact change and assist others in a variety of ways.
She lives right down the street from Stephen King's unsual brick manse in Bangor, ME. She volunteers her time and writing skills to families of murdered children, and hopes - through visability and the power of the pen - to see child abuse laws and penalties grow in severity.
