Are any of my friends here on Facebook? If you are post me an email of how I can add you.

Seems that there is a trend of using social networking sites over the past 5 years or so and funnily enough it is only 2 days ago since I sent a letter to Florida. I guess that I am joining the bandwagon of reaching out to virtual people who lead very busy lives and my newly made slap dash profile will seem just as surreal. Say 'hi' to my photograph instead of meeting in a coffee bar to talk about things in a more spontaneous, it not freer way. I have to say that my 2 older sisters press-ganged me into joining. " 'Hay' how can you be so antisocial" they quipped. Maybe I just don't like brandishing my personal details everywhere and I did remind them that I work in a forensic unit of which requires a confidentiality clause to be signed (one of very few NHS settings where such a document has to be signed and countersigned- yikes). I do like blogging though and it will be hard make such a hectic working environment sound so normal to my readers). Anyway diatribe finished! If you are going to add me then post me an email.

Busyness is a cyclical thing it waxes and wanes and now I having to study when I am not working- it can all be a bit of a headwreck! I have a poetry reading in Hanger Farm (a converted barn) on the 25th of September and I am joined by about 4 other poets. I can't wait as I have written new material but don't know how it will be perceived.

There are usually between 10-15 turning up at the monthly meetings now. I didn't go to the last one in June as my art exhibition reception evening was on the same night (in the same venue). I produced the Hanger Farm poets first magazine, The Barn (in my bookshop if you want to have a look). With any luck Graeme will be there too (Informal Grae). Hint hint.
