As many of you already know, my friend & Super-8 Mentor, filmmaker Helen Hill, was murdered last January at her home in New Orleans. Now America's Most Wanted is making it into a story! A must see!

Helen's story on America's Most Wanted

Tonight (Saturday, Sept. 15) America's Most Wanted is scheduled to do a piece on Helen's murder. This story has been in the works for a long time.

An increased reward will be announced to coincide with the airing of AMW.

America's Most Wanted airs on FOX from 9-10 pm EST.

About Her Death:

She was murdered about 5:30 in the morning on January 4th, 2007 by an intruder in her home in the Faubourg Marigny neighborhood. Her husband, Dr. Paul Gailiunas, was shot three times and survived; their toddler son, Francis Pop, was uninjured. As of June 2007 the murderer has not been apprehended.

Hill's murder was one of a spate of killings in the first week of 2007 in New Orleans, prompting civic outrage that culminated in a march on City Hall on January 11, 2007.

Yes, it is a hard time, espeically when there are no real witnesses. Paul, her husband, was trying to save their child, so he didn't get a good eye full... Hopefully by next Satruday/AMW's next broadcast, we'll have some clues. Fingers are crossed.
