I loved most of these (No Country for Old Men was fantastic) but i really think Juno was overrated. It was too aware of itself, too intent on slamming every last bit of quirkiness into the script.

Although it was awesome to see Michael and George Michael (yay, Arrested Development!) again.

wish I could edit, as I forgot to put Lars and the Real Girl up around number 8, another wonderful film.
Juno could be a bit overzealous at times, but I really enjoyed the quirkiness of it. But I know what you're saying.

My favorite film of this year is one made in 1954, Rear Window. ^_^ I recently decided to actually watch a bunch of Hitchcock films. His movies were forever on my list of "everybody says they're great, I should really watch those" movies. Just a brilliant film. I know, I should have watched it years ago, but at least I'm working on it.

But yes. Rear Window is awesome.

Rear Window looks like one of his best to me. I also thought Vertigo rocked.

rear window is a classic as is vertigo.
possibly one of my fav films would be Rain Man due to Dustin Hoffman's impecable performance.
of course DeLewis' work in There Will Be Blood is prob the best acting I've ever seen.

Am I the only person on earth that has a deep loathing for Indie films? Indie films have made the Oscars next to meaningless. They should make separate categories for them in awards like that.

Not only that, the suck so bad as compared to most studio films...

Actually Juno's the only true indie film (well Lars and The Real Girl might be) nominated at the oscars. of course all films but atonement (overated in my opinion but still good) were originally small release films with lower budgets.

studio films also brought us the Epic Movie/Meet The Spartans Franchise, Ben Affleck Films, and AVP
