I used to write. Now I prefer to do less frustrating and more beneficial stuff like knitting and drinking tea. Why I would want to escape from this cocoon of wooliness and warm drinks perplexes me, but I have a niggling feeling that there is more to life than this and it involves arranging words in a particular order until a feeling of tentative satisfaction is achieved. I wonder often whether niggling feelings can be converted into literary substance. I am still waiting to find out.
