I was born Jason Robert Halsey, and I am a true-to-life contradiction:
I love the sunlight yet hate bright lights. I am reluctant to those who complain, but appreciate listening to other's problems. I enjoy a great love story, although all other things sentimental turn me off. I become uncomfortable having conversation concerning myself, but am more than willing to write about personal experience. Not much brings me further joy than engaging with nature and the outdoors; nonetheless, extreme nature activists can really agitate me. The rich and privileged will always confuse me with what is deemed as good taste and high-class, but I sure appreciate the finer, more expensive things when I can afford them. I feel a strong sense of exhilaration in crowded places, but prefer not to mingle with strangers. I find strength in humanity; yet often find myself lacking any humanity. I love most forms of art and literature, but sometimes conclude that one of "the greats" really is not that great. I love and I hate in equal measure, but will not extend either emotion to those undeserving. Most of all, I am quite thankful that my hardships and struggles (lived and those yet to come) have formed me into the person who I am today, but cannot honestly state that I wouldn't have wanted these circumstances to be different had I the power to change the past.
