Ive been writing poetry and short stories since I was about 10 years old. I graduated with a BA honours from Hull university in English literature. I have a keen interest in American plays from the 1950's and the poetry of Dylan Thomas.
I am proud of where I come from given its tradition of Writers. Those that have passed through my university include Andrew Motion (British poet laureaute) Anthony Mingella (Writer and director the English patient, the talented Mr Ripley) Philip Larkin (famous Poet) John McCarthy (Writer and Broadcaster) to name a few. Hull its self has produced Andrew Marvell one of the founders of metaphysical poetry.
Outside of writing I enjoy the gym, travelling, politics, art and most of all a few beers with my mates!!!!
