this is an off the cuff, out of the mouth, up to the minute bio. born a long time ago in brooklyn new york, grew up in the suburbs of long island. typical 1960s teenage years, dropped out of school, went to CA, married, moved to maine, lived in an old house, had 2 kids, wrote a lot, published a little. went back to college, taught school- still teaching, still writing, still living in maine.
