Carey lives in a rural area with her 3 dogs, 4 cats, and 3 horses. Though working full time at a veterinary hospital, she writes in whatever spare she has available. She enjoys horseback riding, photography, writing, yoga, and reading. Most of her pets have been rescued from very tragic situations.
