My Own World:
Coming up at a young age I was never into reading many books, with the exception of drawing a few comics with a small three to five word dialect, and might I add I was a slow and poor reader at that, and pretty much that was it.
Once a teenaged friend viewed my comics and inquired "You've got a wild imagination, how do you think of all this stuff?".
My answer was a simple "I don't know, I just do it as it comes to me!".
Many years later deep into my adulthood after the comics stopped, I'd gotten my hands on a novel that pulled me into the story line to the point that in my minds eye, I was the character, but book after book and after my reading had gotten better (still a little slow)I'd find a dark corner and read, just to get away from the outside rat race world, only to venture into the unknown world the book in my hands held for me.
All was good until one day I'd came across a novel where the critics raved over how good this author was in his previous writings, but this book didn't pull me in the way those previously had done.
It was then, that I thought to myself "I can write a better book than this", I'm Not saying the author was a bad writer for we all have our different styles, only that particular book didn't have that magic I was looking for as I had thought.
And right then! the idea popped into my head ... "if this book of his was so good, I should be able to at least match it if nothing else" then I thought back to when my childhood friend spoke of my "Wild Imagination".
This thinking gave me a new life that put me on the path to where I've now started my first novel.
Now I can go into My Own World and let my dreams flow.
I welcome you to visit that secret inner galaxies within my ears.
Oh yes, you have one too! That's why we're here, to take the reader on that tour of the unknown not only in my world, but your world, and yes! ... Our World!
