I live in a rural village near Madison, Wisconsin with my husband and two cats. My mother made the mistake of teaching me to read at three years old. She wrote down each word I learned on individual index cards and I have been stringing words together, literally at first, ever since. I have been in the publishing industry since 1996, and freelancing since 1998. Currently, I'm a freelance copyeditor/proofreader with Baen Books and Warner Books. I've been a legal editor with James Publishing, a copyeditor with the Internet Review of Science Fiction, an editor for Flash Me Magazine, a member of the editorial team at Virtual Tales, and a Bastinado.
