I am your typical California girl, born and raised here. Spent most of my life in Orange County, California, but also in Riverside, California. I am of German descent on my mother's side of the family. My mother was actually born and raised in Germany. And on my father's side I am English and Irish. I am a published writer of one complete book entitled, "Yvonne's Poetic Journey Into Mind And Soul". Before this, I had a few poems published in three different anthologies amongst other poems written by many poets. I have entered several poetry contests and was nominated two years in a row for The Poet Of The Year Award, but unfortunately did not win. Just being nominated was a thrill for me and very much a compliment to my poetic inspirations and works. Poetry has always been a part of my life, ever since I can remember. It has always come very naturally to me and I write from deep within my heart about many subjects that many people are able to relate to. I am able to bring forth my emotions on to the pages of my poetry and have a way of bringing great imagery, to my readers, also. I am presently beginning to promote my first book, which is a tedious job indeed, and also am working on two other books, which I hope to have published very soon. One in which is a subsequent compilation of my own poetry about many subjects and the other being devoted to only religious poetry, which I just recently got involved in as I've gotten much closer to God! I thank God for inspiring me to write all that I have written and give him thanks and credit that he deserves, because without him there would be no poetry that I have written. He is the one to whom everyone should give credit to and I thank him for being so generous to me by allowing my first book to be published, which in itself is a dream fullfilled. I hope to inspire and give greater insight to all things possible and to touch many hearts with my poetic style and creativity. I hope you all enjoy! Thanks to all that have supported me in this endeavor, because without you, and you know who you are, there would have never been even a first book published. Thanks for giving me the courage to folllow a dream. And thanks to my parents, whom as a young child gave me the encouragement that I could do anything that i put my mind to and they were right. Miss you both and can't wait to meet up with you in Heaven some day! I hope you are finally proud of me for actually achieveing something most only dream of doing!
