I'm mostly an outdorsey person but love the mental gymnastics of creative writing, and nothing is more rewarding than having a friend say "WOW" after reading something i wrote.
Stylistic inspiration ranges from science fiction (Niven, Card, Gibson) to 19-20th century European classics (Bulgakov, Chekov, Turgenev) and American playwrights (Tennessee Williams).
I grew up in Ohio, lived in France for a while and now live in Rhode Island and Colorado. By profession, I have an aerospace and laser engineering background but have moved more into the people side of business, doing marketing and communications for the last 4 years.
