Dear
Lulu Author
Edit Red has been designed by writers, for writers.
The sole aim of Edit Red is to help writers develop
their skills, promote their writing and sell their books.
Edit Red founder Alan Emmins learnt very quickly in
his writing career that online articles and short stories
are effective tools for selling hard copy books. It
is simple and obvious, but not enough authors take advantage
of their shorter pieces. The simple fact is that readers
are more likely to buy a book from a writers whose work
they have already enjoyed, and unless you are already
a famous novelist commanding shelf space in all the
best stores, this is where the short story and Edit
Red comes in.
Creating your personal Edit Red author profile takes
just minutes, adding a short story and placing a dynamic
advert for your book at the end of it will take just
two more.
The author section of this site has been set up to take
advantage of on-line content and to help you harness
your short stories and articles into powerful selling
tools. You control your book advert. Upload a cover,
blurb, long-lines, excerpts, reviews and then link your
book to the retailer of your choice. You can send your
short story readers to your Lulu store page, or your
amazon page, or even on to Paypal, where they can buy
your book directly from you.
Here's a snap shot of what a book advert looks like:
All
your book adverts will be permanently shown on your
author profile page (you
can view a sample profile here).
If you have several books published, one randomly selected
title will be displayed at the end of all your short
stories, articles and reviews (you
can view a sample here),
furthermore, we will also take adverts for your books
and display them randomly on key pages of Edit Red.
Basic membership to Edit Red is free, but we are offering
an additional 3 month free membership of the author
package exclusively to Lulu authors. That's a saving
of $23. All you need to do to claim your free membership
is sign up and follow the 'Lulu Author' instructions
in your welcome email.
