Joe Lewis was born in England in 1976 and grew up firstly in Hampshire, and then Oxford, before migrating to Australia at the age of 14.
Failing to complete a Bachelor of Music degree (majoring in Baritone Voice), Joe continued composing music through his twenties, while also beginning to cut his teeth in fiction.
After completing an experimental novel, Gugunplex, in 2004, he began to take writing more seriously and undertook a more ambitious project, The Insurmountable Malaise of Man, which he completed in 2006. Joe is currently working on a third novel. He is married with two children, and continues to work full time in services marketing.
