Mark Gallacher was born in 1967 in Girvan, Scotland. Since 1999 he has lived in Denmark, with his Danish wife. They have two young sons.
Mark was a founding member of “Barbarum Corrupta” an arts union based in Århus, promoting the arts in Denmark since 2002. He is currently working full time as an in-house translator (Danish-English)and re-writing a novel.

Mark Gallacher’s poetry was first published in the UK when he was eighteen years old. A pamphlet of poetry followed when he was 21, published by Envoi Poets Publication, titled More Than A Dedication ISBN 0948478527
His poems since then have appeared regularly in many quality British literary magazines like Acumen, Cutting Teeth, Envoi, Litmus, Magma, Prop, Smiths Knoll, Keystone
