Mark Brown was editor of www.ABCtales.com from April 2003 until May 2006. In this role, he was responsible for nurturing non-professional writers and enabling them to progress with their practice of creative writing.
This work also encompassed Talecatching, an innovative programme that uses volunteers to act as creative mentors to people who are socially excluded, enabling them to produce creative writing that represents them and share it with the wider community.
He is currently Development Director of Social Spider, the not-for-profit design, communication and social action agency http://www.socialspider.com
In September 2006, Mark challenged himself to spend a year writing short stories that were exactly 200 words in length.
If you like his writing, please tell him. If you don't, make a point of telling him so, forcefully.
