MAURICE WOODSON

Maurice Woodson is an award winning published writer who has authored the non fiction, �??Babytales: True Stories of Pregnancy and Childbirth�?�and �??Child Abduction: How to Protect your Children�?� as well as works of fiction including the soon to be released youth novel �??Finding Orenda�?�, �??Never Say It�??s Over�?� (an adult novel),and the Thriller "Blood Don't Lie (all in production and awaiting release dates). Also in the works are �??Love Note: True Stories of Love and Romance�?� and the children�??s illustrated book �??The Beautiful Things I love About Me�?�.

As far as his Journalistic credits, Mr. Woodson has worked as an editor or writer for several national and international magazines (including: Essence, Spice Teen Music Magazine, Class Magazine, Starlog Press, Fangoria, Black Teen Magazine, and Billboard). Woodson has also contributed to several newspapers as a reporter and a columnist (including: New York Journal News, Rockland County Times, The Rockland Review). In early 2002 He Launched His own Newspaper in Rockland County New York. Senator and Ex- First Lady Hillary Clinton, was quoted saying that Woodson�??s paper, �??The Suburban Herald�?� was the best Independent Newspaper in New York State. He sold it in January of 2004.

Over the years, he has handled public relations and promotions for various musical artists including R&B artist Keith Sweat and Vanessa Williams. Woodson also spent a year
as the host of his own radio show called �??This Week with Mowood�?� on Rockland County�??s top rated station. His radio show was an entertainment update program which also included political commentary. Maurice has traveled the country heading seminars for parents and teachers in regard to child abduction. As a young boy, Maurice climbed into the back of a strangers car and was lucky enough to survive the experience. It is for this reason, and the fact that he is a parent himself, that he is passionate about his child predator education and prevention.

Maurice Woodson is a graduate of New York City Technical College, where he acquired an Associate degree in Sociology and Marketing and then went on the get a bachelor�??s degree in Business from Fordham University. In order to get a better understanding of business law, he took two years of night classes at NYU, studying pre-Law and introduction to business law.
