I am a middle aged mom who was an elementary schhol teacher in my previous life. When I turned 50, I went back to school, earned a second degree in English, and just completed my M.A. degree in English Literature. I became interested in writing while in grad school. with the encouragement of several of my professors. I have written several short stories, and am currently working with my dad on his WWII memoir, and a romance novel set in Charlotte's up and coming NoDa Arts Community. I plan to teach at the college level for a year, then either get a PhD. or an MFA in Creative Writing.
