I'm currently living my days by Belle and Sebastian, the Shins and Minus the Bear lyrics. It makes me feel like the cool indie hipster I can never be.
I wrote my first book at five: a mis-match of papers tied together to create some kind of flipping mechanism. I ripped off the Mr Men books: they were Mrs Fruit ones, accounting the lives of their fruit children. I don't write so much narrative these days. And they were more like illustrations in wax crayon, with random squiggles anyways. I don't think Bloomsbury would be interested. I wrote my first poetry when I was about 15 or 16, and decided I wanted to do that after my teacher said 'I wish I could teach talent like that' (scoff).
I'm currently in my third and final year at the University of Wales, Aber-wrist-watch. I'm studying English & creative writing. Wish I could stay on for a masters and bum about writing poetry, but it's not going to happen.
I'm writing my dissertation in poetry, based on photographs. Many of them are based on females in photographs, and i'm finding it hard to avoid the cliched 'victim'/feminist rant thing, so any help will be very much appreciated.
