The quintessential necessities of a techno junkie's utopia are many. One in particular is of course the Internet, which I am assuming you have access to otherwise you probably would not be sitting reading this dribble at present, and on it comes is the truly amazing Editred site.
My interest in stories dates back to when I was still in primary school. The teacher use to make us write, "What I did during the holidays" type essays. At that time, for me most holidays involved allot of sitting at home reading comics or just mucking about, Hardly riveting compared to some of the anecdotes described in essays of my classmates. so I would occasionally spice up my accounts with the odd white lie.
Sometimes I went a wee bit too far, like the essay concerning the time my family and I and my grandfather climbed Mount Everest. The teacher doubted its authenticity, such as the part about the park half way up the mountain where we stopped for a rest and my brother and I played on the swings, but she thought it was a very good essay all the same.
As the years progressed I lost my enthusiasm for essays and tended to prefer the challenge of trying to write stories. One of my teachers seemed to like my stories and even got me to read one of them aloud. Ive still got the story somewhere, I'll upload it if I ever find it
