Michael is a mixed blood Native American Indian, Cherokee and Ottawa and Irish. He is a graduate of the University of North Dakota and taught American Indian Studies there for 3 and 1/2 years. Michael has lived and worked on Indian Reservations in MN, ND, SD and NM. He currently lives and writes in the mountains of East Tennessee. He lives with his wife Darlene.
