I'm a 26 year old psychology doctoral student, using my free time to write and paint. I'm not big on "formal" writing, structure, etc. Instead I like the idea of free association on paper... It's cathartic, and who knows, might even allow somebody out there to see that they're not alone with their feelings.
I suppose, if what I write must have a goal, it's to capture an emotion. While everyone's experiences are different, it's hoped that at some level what I write may communicate some emotional experience to the reader; a glimpse into the feelings of another person, and another way of experiencing the world.
