Reader's Digest Version
(I've been here on Earth soo long; Uranus was just a day trip)
I've been writing since forever I guess. First saw my words in print in the HS Lit Mag, Harvest. Poetry, yikes. "...with just a few lines and dots I can create..." alot of words.
Love to illustrate my work. My Profile Pix will be my illustrations for awile.
Made a living writing catalogue as copywriter for Simon&Schuster (NYC). Sold illstrtn freelance.
Published a few pieces in the Village Voice. It was big size then, I got a whole page and the day the first came out, 'Soul On Plastic' was probably the best rush of my life. That article had a photo by pretty famous photographer, Sylvia Plachy. (well, her son is Adrian Brody and he got an Oscar. But she's very big in photog world. Now.)
That day (always Wednesdays) that it came out, on the subway home, I ran from car to car (sneaking through many disgruntled pairs of legs. I'm rather miniscule) looking for people reading The Voice and asking if I could check a certain page. Couldn't quite believe it was in every single Village Voice. I'm a little better now. Thanks.
Tried to sell teleplay in LA during big writer's strike. Not good timing. I ain't no scab! And they were looking. (read the Hollywood Year, or maybe wait for the 2nd version).
Did standup comedy after work (then temping, what else?)(also in NYC) which I wrote, course.
Still alive and writing. Most recently this bit. Have high hopes for this site! Anyone willing to donate a printer my way? It kills me to read long stuff on screen. Yukyuk. I've had 2 die on me recently is all. Nice burial.
