Peter-Charles was born to Jamaican parents in Brooklyn, NY in 1979. An educational journey brought him through PS 116, the Buckley School, Phillips Exeter Academy, and finally Harvard University. A cunning linguist from early on, Peter-Charles quickly applied his love for languages to Latin, doubling up with French, and ultimately tackling Spanish and Italian for brief stints in High School.

The combination of code switching, alienation, and the overall collision of worlds fueled much of Peter-Charles' early works. After majoring in Afro-American Studies at Harvard and co-founding the Harvard Spoken Word Society, Peter-Charles' works turned from the didactic to the human. Merging metaphor with melodic heart murmurs and the fluttering of nerves that comes with entry into the real world.

Readers of Peter-Charles' work appreciate his vivid imagery, florid language, and often romantic subject matter. Peter-Charles has been compiling poems for his seminal work, Crab, Man, Moon and the Long Way Home for 2 years and is excited to be getting off the ground.
